Courtney Sunderland

M.S.W, LMSW, LCSW, EMDR Trained

Courtney Sunderland is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, and her Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO.

 

Courtney is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities with a holistic, faith-informed perspective to support clients in their healing process. Courtney believes in the transformative power of God’s Word to bring restoration, freedom, and renewed purpose. Her therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can experience hope and healing.

 

Courtney provides individual therapy for adolescents (ages 15 and older) and adults addressing a wide range of life challenges. For adolescent clients, she incorporates parent sessions as part of a collaborative approach that supports the client’s progress and strengthens family dynamics. Her areas of clinical focus include depression, anxiety, faith and spirituality, trauma, grief, self-worth, emotion regulation, stress, and life transitions.

 

Outside of her work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, Joshua, and connecting with family and friends. She enjoys traveling, watching a good movie, savoring a great cup of coffee, and caring for her dog, Lucy. She and her husband also serve as youth leaders at their church, investing in the next generation with unconditional love and Truth.
